At Trinkaurity Cockers, my ethos is simple: ‘Putting Pups First’.
Every decision I make is guided by the welfare, well-being, and long-term future of The Trinkaurity Crew and their puppies. Everything I do is driven by this deep commitment, which shapes each and every breeding decision.
This focus begins right at the very foundation, where I dedicate myself to raising future generations of our crew. Without a contented, confident Trinkaurity Crew—whose physical, emotional, and holistic needs are always at the absolute center, Trinkaurity Cockers simply would not exist.
This dedication underpins my entire breeding programme and is built upon my Founding Five Principles and that simply means….nothing comes before the well-being of each individual dog.
My commitment is to remain a small, highly focused, home-based breeding programme where every adult dog and puppy receives my undivided time, care, and devotion. If you are seeking a higher turnover of puppies, perhaps from a more commercial environment, Trinkaurity Cockers is not the right fit.
The Founding Five Principles
Founding Principles
FP 1: Health
Access to comprehensive veterinary care, preventative treatments, dental care, and ongoing monitoring to ensure they live healthy lives free from pain or suffering. Responsible management within our breeding programme extends far beyond mating, pregnancy, and whelping; it demands the long-term provision of health to ensure The Trinkaurity Crew’s welfare is never compromised.
FP 2: Nutrition
A balanced, species-appropriate diet with constant, 24/7 access to fresh water. We utilise high-quality supplements to actively support systemic health, hormone regulation, joint longevity, coat integrity, and general physiological welfare.
FP 3: Environment
A safe, comfortable, and stimulating domestic environment. We ensure each member of The Trinkaurity Crew possesses complete freedom of choice to rest in their own dedicated beds, across varied locations, where they feel entirely safe and secure.
FP 4: Behaviour
Protecting and facilitating the expression of natural, breed-specific behaviours. We proactively support their instinctual needs—including chewing, sniffing, playing, exploring, vocalising, and cognitive problem-solving—through structured enrichment, positive-reinforcement training, and a thoughtfully designed home setup.
FP 5: Emotional Wellbeing
Cultivating positive lived experiences that encourage confidence, resilience, security, and strong social bonds within The Trinkaurity Crew’s domestic environment of human and canine companions. We champion choice, autonomy, and individual control in their daily lives, alongside robust protection from fear, stress, or frustration to fully optimise each dog’s emotional well-being.
Responsible Breeding & Genetic Selection
The structural selection of any breeding pair within our breeding programme is guided entirely by health data, physical soundness, and stable temperaments.
Our core criteria include:
- Registration and Inbreeding Mitigation: I carefully select only Royal Kennel Club Registered parents who are fully DNA health tested. I heavily prioritise the lowest possible COI (inbreeding) scores, deliberately choosing combinations that offer every puppy the best opportunity for a long, healthy life.
- Clinical Exclusion Criteria: Breeding dogs must be entirely free from known illnesses or allergies, and must not require regular medication. I enforce a strict exclusion policy for individuals displaying chronic underlying health conditions—including repeated ear issues, renal issues, dry eye, or lip fold issues. All of these physiological factors are strictly evaluated before any mating is considered.
- Reproductive Welfare Policy: I hold a strict “one cesarean section then spay” blanket rule, irrespective of the clinical reason.
The Name Behind Trinkaurity
‘Trinkaurity’ is my Royal Kennel Club Registered Kennel Name and it was created from blending the letters from my dogs names, my name and the word ‘Trinity’ which has a special meaning to my family. ‘Trinity’ has very precious and sentimental meaning to me, as such I nicknamed my very first litter my little ‘Trinity Pups’. As you browse my website, you may see images watermarked with ‘Trinity Pups’ and you now know that these particular pups are from my very precious first litter!
Trinkaurity is pronounced ‘Trin– kor – ity’.
