- They complete their final week of activities with me.
- Your handover appointments will be booked to come and collect your puppy.
- Handover appointments are usually 30 minutes long. I kindly ask children to not attend handover, or for them to remain in the car with another adult during handover.
- The final balance for your puppy is due when your puppy turns 7 weeks old (unless you are paying in cash at pick up by prior arrangement)

Step 5: Welcome Home Process!
- Your precious puppy is ready to come home at 8 weeks old.
- Prior to collection, I will book a time to either zoom or call for a handover appointment. We will discuss everything pertaining to your puppy pack, Trinkaurity Care Plan and all paperwork…and most importantly, your beautiful puppy!
- Your handover appointment will contain information about feeding, grooming, enrichment, health, vaccinations, worming, exercise, training and more.
- You will be able to ask all and any questions you may have.
Collection:
- An appointment for collection will be made, which is when you pick pup up.
- These are 15 minute slots to keep the stress of pups leaving to a minimum and swiftly settle pups into their car to begin their journey home.
- You will receive a checklist of your final ‘to dos’ in relation to their first week home.
- Prior to leaving my home, I will check to see what mode of transport you have arranged for your puppy. Trinkaurity puppies cannot leave my home being held in someone’s arms in a car. Families must demonstrate they are able to put Trinkaurity pups welfare first, from the moment they collect their puppy. As such, a suitable and safe restraint such as a pet carrier/small crate, would be required.
- I will provide you with food, puppy pack, and everything you need.
- I recommend families bring an empty water bottle that I am able to fill with my tap water so you can slowly transition pup over to your water (change of water can sometimes cause a temporary upset tummy)
Your journey with your little one truly begins 🙂
Visitation:
Only families who have reserved a puppy, are able to arrange visitation appointments. Prior to visits, I always ensure families are able to facetime and spend time chatting with me to feel comfortable and confident to ask questions, no matter how small. During the first 4 weeks, I do not have any visitors as Mama can become quite distressed with a lot of people unknown to her handling or in close proximity to her puppies (even if she doesn’t show signs of it). Therefore, for the first 4 weeks, I try to avoid having visitors. This also helps reduce the risk of cross infection to our tiny pups who’s immune systems have yet to develop. Visits are booked for 30-40 minutes during week 4 or week 5.
